Individually funded fellowships
Individually funded fellowships are offered in the UK by the Royal Society, NERC, and BBSRC; these fellowship schemes are only open to EU citizens. Outside the UK many countries offer fellowships for their nationals to work abroad. The EU Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship scheme funds people from EU countries wishing to work in the UK. We are happy to hear from anyone considering applying for an individually funded fellowship, and he/she should contact the staff member with the closest research interest. There is also the Newton International Fellowships scheme for international (non-EU) applicants.
